Many of these reforms require a vote of the Governing Body — and that’s exactly how it should be. The Mayor doesn’t govern alone. When key ordinances or resolutions are coming up, I will issue clear calls to action so residents know what’s being voted on and when, and I will encourage them to contact their City Councilor to be heard. That’s how representative government works: engaged citizens, accountable officials, and decisions made in the open.
